When issued a clearance to land and hold short of an intersecting runway, pilots

  1. Ashall comply regardless of the circumstances.
  2. Bmay taxi across the intersection after the departing or arriving aircraft has cleared their path.
  3. Cwho inadvertently go through the intersection should immediately do a 180° turn and backtrack to the hold position.
  4. Dshould immediately inform ATC if they are unable to comply.Correct answer

Why this is the answer

A land-and-hold-short clearance, like any clearance, may be declined if it cannot be safely accepted; per TC AIM-RAC the pilot should immediately tell ATC when unable to comply. You are not bound "regardless of circumstances," and you must not taxi across or backtrack through the intersection on your own.
