Refund Policy

Effective June 23, 2026

The Trial is the refund.

The short version

We don't offer cash refunds after you subscribe. The 3-day Trial is the refund — it is built so you can use the full product before spending anything. If you continue past the Trial, you have told us it is working for you.

You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access through the billing period you have already paid for.

Capitalised terms below — Trial, Subscription, Service — have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

1. The Trial is the refund

New Accounts get a 3-day Trial when you verify your email — no card required. Three full days to use everything (Mae, all of Exams, all of Radio) without spending anything. If the product isn't for you, do nothing — the Trial expires on its own and you are never charged.

2. After you subscribe

Once you enter card details and subscribe, we do not refund the current billing period. Subscriptions are $29 CAD/month or $228 CAD/year and auto-renew. You can cancel at any time from Account → Membership → Manage in Stripe; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — no surprise charges, and no clawback of the time you used. If you lapse, your progress is held for 30 days.

3. Exceptions — when we do refund

We will issue a refund in these cases:

  • Double-billing caused by a Stripe or Ready for Solo error.
  • Unauthorized charges — your card was used without your consent, and you reported it to us before disputing with your bank.
  • Material service failure on our side that prevents you from using the Service for an extended period. We will usually extend your Subscription instead, but a cash refund is available on request.

Email support@readyforsolo.com with the charge details and we will respond within 3 business days.

4. Taxes

Refunds, when issued, include any sales tax that was charged on the original payment. Stripe handles the tax-refund accounting automatically.

5. Chargebacks

If something looks wrong on your card statement, email us before opening a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks cost us fees and trigger Stripe's dispute system regardless of whether we agree — we would rather resolve it with you directly: fast, no fees, no back-and-forth.

6. Account deletion

Deleting your Account from Account settings cancels any active Subscription immediately. No further charges, and no partial refund of the current period — the same rule as a portal cancellation.

7. Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy takes away rights you may have under Canadian consumer-protection law. If such a law gives you a refund right that cannot be contracted out of, that right applies regardless of the above.
