Free PSTAR practice Controlled Airspace

VFR cross-country pilots wishing to cross through any part of a Class C Control Zone should

  1. Aadvise the associated FSS.
  2. Bmonitor the Approach Control frequency.
  3. Cadvise ATC of their intentions and obtain a clearance.Correct answer
  4. Dconform with circuit direction at that airport.

Why this is the answer

Class C airspace requires VFR aircraft to obtain an ATC clearance before entering, so a pilot crossing any part of it must advise ATC and get cleared (CARs 601.08; TC AIM-RAC 2.8.3). Merely advising the FSS or monitoring a frequency is not enough.
