If a MF is in use, pilots departing VFR shall monitor that frequency until

  1. Abeyond the specified distance or altitude.Correct answer

  3. Cestablished at cruise altitude.
  4. Dclear of the aerodrome circuit pattern.

Why this is the answer

Per CAR 602.97 and the TC AIM, an aircraft departing VFR where an MF is in use must monitor that frequency until beyond the distance or altitude specified for the MF area, not merely until clear of the circuit.
